INITCRON Labs announces freeSWITCHBOX version 1.0.0. It’s a tailor made VoIP distro in a box. Includes most up to date and extremely stable freeSWITCH built from the source code repository. Also included is the cutting edge freePBX V3 GUI (also taken from the source tree, most up to date) for freeswitch configuration and administration. freeSWITCHBOX is built using Suse Studio and comes in LiveCD, USB Stick, HDD Image, Xen/Virtualbox/VMWare Image formats. Get started with free telephone system within minutes. Whats more, you could configure it to work with Gtalk/Google Voice announced recently and make calls anywhere in US for free. Also supports Skype integration with static build of skype.

    Hi all! Did you know that FreePBX v3 has been moved to 2600hz as blue.box? You should update this awesome software to try out blue.box instead!

    To use as a home telephony box, is it possible to use a modem ( full voice fax/modem, not soft modem) as a PAP, or som sort of POTS adapter?
